CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025
The laptop scheme was first introduced by Shehbaz Sharif in 2023. The current CM Punjab laptop scheme 2025 is a continuation of PMLN’s initiative. The purpose is to empower students with digital assets so they can compete in today’s digital era. A laptop device is a need of every professional in today’s world, and distributing these fast, up-to-date machines would certainly boost students morale and help them garnish their digital skills, essential to grow. CM also believes that this could help youngsters find work online in a recession-hit country. The 2025 Laptop scheme aims to empower over 50,000 youth with the latest laptops.
Who is eligible for the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025?
University students with more than 65% marks are eligible for this scheme. As it is limited to Punjab only, all the universities in Punjab registered with the higher education commission are included in this scheme. Punjab is the largest and most populated province with the most number of institutes in the country, where students from all over the country come for studies, so eligibility criteria are broad with a great chance for bright students to get themselves registered in the scheme.
How To Apply for the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme
Students need to contact their respective departments in universities to ensure their registration, as the data would be sent by recognized universities to HEC and then would be finalized by the higher education commission. Every student with more than 65% marks shall ensure their registration internally in their universities to get themselves registered in the scheme and shall follow up for the next procedure and distribution of the laptops, which would be given away by the university’s administration to registered students.
Which laptop will be distributed?
Lenovo ThinkPad with a core i7 processor, 10th generation, would be distributed in this laptop scheme. This machine is a fast and reliable device, actively used in a corporate environment. Laptops are customized with the CM’s portrait and custom welcome screen as per the liking of the current CM, the trend similar to what we saw in the previous schemes.
When will the laptops be distributed?
As announced by the CM, that first lot of laptops has arrived, so the next step will begin shortly. The number of laptops has been increased to 50,000, and registration has started in universities, so it is expected that the distribution will start by the end of April or in the month of May. Students are advised to keep in touch with the university’s administration to ensure registration and follow up on the laptop scheme so they can benefit from this scheme.
