Trends In Marking
If we look at the trend, first of all the compulsory subject is English. In this case, the trend was the same as in the previous years. 12, 15 marks were given to the most of the candidates, then some were given 20 marks, some were given 30 marks and highest were ranging in forties and fifties. Now, the candidates with number 12-15 are those who have not understood the topic, the candidates with 20-30 are those who have not justified their outline and the Fortis ones are those who come with a better team than this. They know the coherence, which is history.
This time there are many candidates who have failed in the aggregate of General Knowledge this time, all the papers have passed, the aggregate of GK has failed and finally if we talk about Islamiyat, then in the paper of Islamiyat, the candidates who had written only translation had a score of 14. Those who had written Arabic and Arabic reference, have a score of 58 to 60 and 60 in this year’s mark sheet. So this trend is going to be seen in the compulsory subject. The median score in Political Science is between 130 and 120. Those candidates who had scored 140 plus in previous years, this year their score has come in 98-99. They have been targeted a lot in Computer Science. The candidates who had preparation for extra ordinary, their score has also come up to 100 because the paper of computer science was difficult like vice economics and physics in these subjects too and I recommend that you should not turn off these technical subjects.
Apart from what is unfair that was seen in history papers where there is a lot of complains particularly candidates who took US history were not able to get a lot of marks despite excellent effort were candidates who took up European History were seemed to be favored, The average score of the children in Sociology was 40S and 50s. The expectation from the language was that one language which would get higher score was again the language Sindhi. Most of the children who had turned it off have failed with normal preparation. Candidates have very high score in Philosophy, scores have come in 80s and 70s mostly. General Studies has not been targeted. It has got two exchanges. Some students have scored in 40s and some have scores in 60s and 70s. So, this is the pattern that has been seen in CSS 23 examination.
