Israel Attack On Iran: Full Scale War Nearing?
On the morning of October 26th, Israel strikes Iran in a 4-hour-long operation of targeted strikes on military targets across Iran. The Israeli military claims huge success, and the IDF claims that the operation focused strictly on military targets, steering clear of nuclear and oil facilities to prevent wider conflict escalation. Over 100 aircraft were used in this attack, including F35 jets covering nearly 2,000 km. Six loud explosions were heard on the outskirts of the Iranian capital of Tehran. Explosions were also heard in the nearby city of Karaj. A second wave of air strikes was heard in the city of Shiraz. Iran’s military has confirmed that the strikes targeted military bases. Explosions were also reported in the Syrian capital of Damascus. The attack is in line with ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. Iran earlier had launched two strikes on Israel, to which Israel responded, but the scale of attacks is increasing and can lead to a full-scale war between the two states.
Iran is prepared to give a proportional reaction to Israeli aggression, but both the US and Israel have warned Iran against any new action.
Israeli military spokesperson Daniel hagari had released a video statement confirming the strikes on Iran He said, like every other sovereign country in the world, Israel has the right and the duty to respond. Washington has also backed Israel as expected, calling the targeted strikes in Iran an exercise in self-defense. The National Security Council of America’s spokesperson, Sean, said that the attack was a response to Iran’s ballistic missile attack against Israel on October 1st; in fact, the White House was notified in advance before Israel launched the attack; however, the United States stressed that it was not involved in the Israeli strikes.
Iran has claims that it countered the Israel strike successfully, and only limited damage was caused. Iran has threatened a reaction, and that will be a big one. America, Britain, and European nations have warned Iran to respond, but it is evident that Iran will respond as it doesn’t obey the West, and why should it?
Western powers have united after the attack, warning Iran of any response and safeguarding the right of self-defense of Israel. A nation that has occupied and built a country for themselves in self-defense and Iran, a sanctioned Third World country, is oppressing it. Well, America and its allies always have such pity explanations to justify their actions. Most of the west has clearly aligned themselves with US stand on the matter, standing by the oppressed state of Israel, safeguarding their valuable rights, which in this case are only their priority and the rest of the world doesn’t deserve those. Well, it is for the US to decide whose rights matter and whose rights are the priority depending upon their policy, but in the case of Israel, the stance of the US is very clear and always has been. Like the spokesperson said, Washington was informed about the attack carried out by the IDF, and that completely justifies it. Iran attacks are against humanity and violations of human rights because they do not inform Washington like Israel did. The US and its allies have clearly backed the Israeli defensive attack with only 100 fighter jets and missiles and have threatened Iran.
Iran has been under threat for decades, and this type of statement and biased attitude of world powers aligning themselves with the state of Israel that has wrecked havoc in Gaza is fueling a major conflict in the Middle East. The ground is being prepared; Iran would retaliate in any case, and the situation currently is looking very threatening with the way world powers are aligning. A major conflict might be inevitable.
