The government has tried to reduce the tariff so that electricity consumption can be increased and monitored, and the result of this will be compared with the month of December of last year. The total demand for electricity in winters remains between 8 and 10 thousand megawatts, whereas in summers, the same demand for electricity spikes up to 28,000 megawatts. The government has announced a winter package that will be from December to February 2025.

Finally, any good news for the public regarding electricity prices that have quadrupled in recent years. Many people have switched to solar panels for power consumption amid a drastic rise in power bills. This has impacted the power grid and put pressure on the stakeholders to take measures that promote the use of electricity, especially in winters where consumption is dropped by 50%. The relief is not limited to residential consumers only; commercial and industrial users are also included.
